This is a CQI and IRCA certified course with ID 1769. This means that course participants with sufficient audit experience and a successful outcome can apply to become an 'IRCA Registered Lead Auditor'.
The course will ensure that participants have sufficient knowledge to perform second and third party audits. With workshops, the course provides comprehensive knowledge of how an audit should be conducted.
Description
Who is it for?
The course is intended for those who build and audit quality management systems in companies and auditors of certification bodies. People involved in supplier assessments and supplier development are also common participants in this course.
What prior knowledge is required?
You should have some prior knowledge of the content, application and implementation of the ISO 9000 series. If not, we recommend taking “ISO 9001 Basic Course”.
Please note that the course only gives you the audit training you need. In addition, IRCA sets other requirements (e.g. auditing experience) to be eligible for registration.
Following each training day, 2 hours of revision and extension study is required.
Purpose and objectives
The purpose of this training is to give prospective second and third party auditors adequate audit training, by fulfilling the IRCA’s educational goals. The training will ensure that participants who successfully complete the course have sufficient knowledge to perform second and third party audits.
This is a CQI and IRCA Certified Training Course with ID 1769. This means that participants, after passing the course, have fulfilled the audit training requirement to apply to become an ”IRCA Registered Lead Auditor” in quality.
Other information
Residential environment
The training takes place in a residential environment at Bjertorp Slott Castle in Kvänum. Full board, at a cost of SEK 7,900, is added to the training fee. There is an option for arrival on Sunday evening (SEK 930).
Homework
Around two weeks before the course, you will receive homework which must be completed before the course starts. How long this takes depends on your prior knowledge. A participant as above should expect 8-10 hours spread out over a number of days.

I can truly recommend this course. It gives auditors a broad, solid base on which to stand and you learn at a deeper level how to act as an auditor. That’s why the course also gives you added value after completion and allows you to take real improvements back to your business.
