Content
The course gives you the knowledge necessary to use the content of the standard to deliver successful projects. It consists of a number of theory sessions and practical cases, which together cover the principles, themes, processes and management products of PRINCE2.
The course also provides enough knowledge of the PRINCE2 project management methodology to take an approved exam at PRINCE2 Foundation level, which is done in conjunction with the course.

Description
Who is it for?
The course is primarily intended for project managers, but can also be used by other employees and managers who need a deeper understanding of their role in the project environment and important working methods in project management.
What prior knowledge is required?
We recommend that participants of this course have run or participated in projects and have previously completed a practical project management course. If not, we recommend our Project Management course before proceeding with a PRINCE2 certification.
Purpose and objectives
The purpose of the course is for you to obtain a PRINCE2 certification at the Foundation level. This means that you will:
- Be able to apply the 7 guiding principles that form the basis of the PRINCE2 project management methodology.
- Understand and be able to manage the 7 different themes that describe the aspects of project management that need to be followed up continuously and in parallel throughout the project.
- Understand the 7 different processes that a project goes through, from start to finish.
- Be able to use the different checklists for activities and products.
- Understand the division of responsibilities between the different roles in the project.
- Be able to adapt the methodology to the specific environment and context of the project.
Other information
The course ends with an exam that gives you a PRINCE2 certification at the basic Foundation level. This certification, in turn, gives you an opportunity for certification at the more advanced Practitioner level.
The training material consists of a training binder where the various lecture moments are documented, as well as the current version of the Prince2 book.

Home assignment
Before the course, you should have familiarized yourself with the PRINCE2 manual "Managing successful projects, 7th edition".
The manual, together with a self-study material with homework, will be sent to you at least two weeks before the start of the course. A recommendation is to spend about 20 hours on the self-study material.

The course was very good! Even though it had a high pace with intensive days, I felt very satisfied after the training was finished! I will benefit greatly from the training when we implement this internally. We are a global team, so we chose Prince2 to have a common foundation to stand on.
