Interview with Erica Lind
Now it's Erica's turn to be introduced to the world. Because within CANEA there is probably no one who does not know who she is.

Erica has worked as an administrator at CANEA for 5 years and is originally from Rimforsa in Östergötland. But administrator does not feel like a sufficient role name, but perhaps more a project manager / event coordinator / education organizer / alumni contact. There are probably more roles we have missed, but which fit Erica.

What did you do before joining CANEA?
After graduating in Humanities, I followed my love for Iceland. I happened to spend 11 years on the island. I learned the language, studied, and worked in tourism. Two children were born in Iceland and a third in Sweden.

In 2008 we moved to Sweden and I worked in various administrative and support roles before landing at CANEA in 2018.

What do you like best about working with us?
The flexibility - which allows me to work at times that suit me best. It makes it easier to balance my life.

Variety - that my tasks are so varied. It never gets boring. One day I'm organizing a conference and the next day I'm packing an aid shipment to Ukraine.

Is there anything about you that other CANEAns don't know?
I love to dance. Especially folk dance and buggy. And I hope there will be more opportunities to dance in the future.

What would you say to someone thinking of joining CANEA?
That we are a good team that takes care of each other. Nice and unpretentious with a wonderful atmosphere. And we also care about those who leave. So much so that some of them even come back.
