Alfdex AB is the world's leading supplier of highly effective solutions for cleaning crankcase gases from diesel engines. As a subcontractor to the heavy-duty automotive industry, Alfdex has to meet high standards, including IATF and ISO. Thanks to CANEA ONE, they now meet these requirements and have gained a better overview and control over their entire operation, which is a good basis for continued growth.
Alfdex, with operations in Sweden and China, needed more transparency – to be able to more clearly follow cases through different process steps. In addition, there was a great need to develop more efficient document management and a structure with governing documents instead of having individual Excel and Word documents stored in different places. After comparing different IT software and solutions, CANEA ONE was chosen.
"We chose CANEA ONE because it is easy to administer. The system is easy to extend, and we can create our own workflows, giving us a freedom we appreciate. Originally we chose four different feeds, but we have now scaled up to twelve without any problems. In addition, the ability to import data from our ERP system was a big advantage for us. Reliability was another crucial factor," says Johnny Saxne, Project Leader MDS, Technical Preparation & Head of Environmental Coordination at Alfdex.
A flexible and user-friendly system
To ensure that they get the desired impact from the system and to contribute to the effective use of CANEA ONE in the organization, Alfdex has appointed a project team responsible for the task. This has resulted in dedicated users that find the system both flexible and user-friendly.
Alfdex is working with CANEA ONE in both Sweden and China. In China, they are extremely happy with the newly implemented document management system, which is a good rating, according to Johnny. The use of the system globally enables Alfdex to meet the quality requirements of IATF 16949.
"CANEA ONE has delivered more than we expected. We can easily administer the system ourselves, and everything that is important is available. It is flexible to use and configure, and we can easily add features, which is a big plus. Another advantage is that you don't leave the system but always work in the same platform."
Increased control and transparency
Thanks to the combination of document management and asset management, Alfdex now has better control and transparency.
"Our goal was to have more transparency, to have a better overview. Now we can clearly see where we are in the process thanks to CANEA ONE. The system really facilitates the work. Everyone can access data and find what they are looking for, which makes everyday life much smoother. The cooperation with CANEA has worked very well, and the implementation has been perfect. We have had very good contact with CANEA's staff, with web-based reconciliations. And last but not least, we managed to keep both our schedule and budget", Johnny concludes.
