Aveki is a growing technology company that develops GIS solutions for organizations in the community development sector, including municipalities and cemetery administrations. Its systems manage everything from map data to sensitive personal information. Background: growing demands for information security
For Aveki, changes in the external environment, not least the introduction of the NIS2 Directive, combined with growing awareness of information security, sent a clear signal that change was needed.
Against this backdrop, a certifiable management system aligned with ISO 27001 was seen as a way to strengthen internal expertise while creating a solid foundation for a systematic approach to information security. It was not only about meeting requirements, but also about building knowledge and contributing more effectively to customers’ own information security efforts.
Aveki therefore decided to implement a comprehensive management system. The focus was never solely on certification itself, but on creating a long-term, value-adding way of working where information security is an integrated part of day-to-day operations.
