CANEA Document offers several ways to search for information to suit all types of needs. Search for information via a role-based home page, free text search, virtual folders, subscriptions, favourites and clickable process maps.

View documents online

The system has support for viewing documents directly in the browser without, for example, having to open MS Word. For the user reading the document, the experience is both quicker and simpler. It is also easy to access information via mobile devices.

Templates that save you time

With the aid of templates, the document headers, graphic layout and content can be controlled to ensure a good and uniform structure. The system lets you manage templates for different types of documents. Information in headers and footers is automatically kept up to date through the templates.

Document properties

Tagging information and documents with properties when they are created vastly improves searchability. The same document can then be displayed in different ways in so-called virtual folders, e.g. by process, department, approver and document type.

Personal home page

With the help of the home page, users can quickly and easily access relevant documents, with the click of a button. The home page is role-based and primarily displays information relevant for the logged-in user, based on role and requirements. The design and content of the home page can be adapted at both central and individual level

Automatic archiving

CANEA Document has full support for archiving, with very good archive searchability and the option to restore archived documents. The user’s permission level controls access to the archive and older versions of the document. All information is version-managed in the system, with full traceability back to earlier versions.

Bulk maintenance

With the system, you can maintain large numbers of documents with ease. This is often necessary during organisational changes or when information needs to be restructured. Bulk maintenance functions allow an administrator, for instance, to change approver for hundreds of documents with a couple of clicks of a button.

Client system requirements​

Browser: Internet Explorer 9-11, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.
MS .NET Framework 3.5+ for certain functions.
Silverlight 5.0+ for certain functions.
Adobe Reader X or later is required if you intend to use the document viewer.

Operating system: Windows Server 2008+, .Net Framework 4.5.2+, ASP.Net 4.0 or IIS 7+.
RAM: 8 GB+.
CPU: x64, 4+ cores, 2.2+Ghz.
Database: MS SQL Server Standard 2008+.
