Project Management
We want to provide you with the best conditions so that your project can be delivered on time, within the estimated cost framework and to the right quality standard. With an effective project management methodology, you can achieve such results in your projects. This three day course gives you the foundations and practical tools to successfully handle and lead projects.
Course objectives
The objective of the course is to increase your knowledge within the following areas:
- how a project organisation is constructed with roles and responsibilities
- how project goals are defined and established
- how realistic project plans are created
- how you as project manager steer towards established project goals and handle changes in your project
- how you create high performance project teams and how risks and opportunities should be handled in your project
- how you follow up and communicate the project's progress for the project's interested parties
- how project closure and experience feedback works in projects
Course description
The training course focuses on teaching usable techniques for the project manager, critical ways of working and what roles are involved. We go through everything from the drawing up of the project directive to project closure and experience feedback. Important subjects covered by the course are project planning and project control together with "soft" questions such as group dynamics and motivation. The course follows the project management standard PMI PMBOK® Guide and deals with most areas of knowledge within project management.
The training days are structured around short lectures blended with group work and open discussions. You also get the chance to test your skills in a reality-based case study that covers the whole project life cycle. The course is held in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö.
Target groups and prior knowledge
The training course is aimed at those who work with projects and are new to project management, and to project managers who want to develop their skills. No prior knowledge is required. All terminology and explanatory models used in the course are explained in a simple and instructive manner.
The course entitles participants to the following PDU points:
24 for PMP/PgMP
2.25 for PMI-SP, Project Scheduling
2.75 for PMI-RMP, Project Risk Management

"I was very impressed by the trainer and it felt like he knew the subject of project management. He really caught our interest and was able to answer our questions. The case study was interesting and it was fun to compare how we solved the problems with how "the company" solved the problems in reality. Several things fell into place. The course material was as comprehensive as you could wish without being too much. My way of working has become more focused and structured and I know how to divide up the work. You should take this course!"

"We got what we expected from CANEA's project management course! I am already using knowledge from the course in my work. The content was comprehensive with an ambitious folder, the trainers were responsive and the case study came at exactly the right time. The trainers had the ability to create a dynamic atmosphere in the classroom and to weave together the guiding threads by referring back to our environment and linking them to real life. The course gave a very good foundation in the subject from which to develop. I have already recommended the course to my colleagues!"
