CANEA's PMP® Project Management Certification is an intensive project manager training course that gives you the latest methodology from PMI for leading and managing projects in an effective manner. The objective of the course is to increase your knowledge within the following areas:
- how the PMBOK® Guide looks at project management and "Professional Responsibility"
- how you can implement the PMBOK® Guide's project management processes/domains in an appropriate way in your projects
- how you take your project effectively through the five process groups:
initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and review, and finally closure - The PMBOK® Guide's key tools and methods for managing and leading projects
- how you analyse and apply the contents of the PMBOK® Guide linked to the PMP® examination
Course description
This training course provides you with in-depth understanding of how a project should be conducted at the same time as you prepare for Project Management Professional PMP® certification, the world's most widely recognised project manager certification. Certification symbolises high level knowledge and skills within project management and is well-respected among all organisations that work in project form.
The training course has been developed to create complete understanding of PMI's way of looking at project management, as it is described in the PMBOK® Guide. By undertaking this training course, the participants will be well-prepared for the examination. During the training course, the participants are able to practice examination techniques with typical test questions. The training course emphasises the areas that are likely to appear in the examination. There are plenty of opportunities to "train" by doing typical test questions. All aspects of the certification process are also covered.
Our experienced trainers give you the best conditions to pass the examination and become PMP® certified. You can choose to take the course in Stockholm, Gothenburg and, since 2009 also as a residential course in fantastic Barcelona.
Target groups and prior knowledge
The course is aimed at experienced project managers and managers in project-oriented organisations who want to acquaint themselves with PMI®'s view of project management and/or intend to undertake PMP® certification. Managers in project operations can also profit from a better understanding of how their functional responsibility fits into the project.
The course entitles participants to the following PDU points:
40 for PMP/PgMP
3 for PMI-SP, Project Scheduling
3 for PMI-RMP, Project Risk Management
CANEA is approved by PMI as a Registered Education Provider (REP) and thereby fulfils high standards for training materials and trainers.
Content and training materials
The training materials consist of a course folder where the different lecture elements are exhaustively documented, together with the current version of the PMBOK® Guide and a set of questions. Please note that the training materials are in English even though the training course is held in Swedish. The reason is that the PMP® examination is held in English.
During our five day training course in Project Manager Certification - PMP®, we will thoroughly examine the PMBOK® Guide's five process groups.
